Did it!

After I took off Landon's pajamas this morning, I told him that we were going to the store, so we needed to put on his clothes and shoes. I got distracted with something, and then Landon came running out of our room saying "Did it!" As you can see, he dressed himself! He has always loved putting on Dustin's ties, but putting on the boots by himself was very impressive. We are ready to go!

As a side note, Landon is in time-out behind me while I am typing this, and I can see in the reflection of the computer that he sitting in his chair dancing to the music I am listening to. I'm pretty sure he is learning his lesson.

Happy Easter

We had several surprises for Easter this morning; first, Davenport welcomed in the spring holiday with a fresh dusting of snow!!!

Second, Melanie had apparently been saving up her snot all night long for one "Happy Easter" sneeze in the morning!!!! I hear some parents wipe those things off, I just look for the camera. You might need to view the full sized picture just to get the full effect.

Here is a picture of Melanie in her Easter dress.

Washington Monument

great view of the Washington Monument, capital building behind to the left, and the reflection in the reflection pool. Guess I should have the reflection in the pool, but then you can't see the capital building. But it is too small to see anyway.... We had a great time in DC

A couple more pictures

Here are a couple of pictures of the kids. We gave them money to dig new wells, but we also took down a bunch of donated toys and clothes. The kids LOVED the masks and stickers we took. Who would've guessed?

Brazil trip

I figure if I post a couple, Kristen won't feel like she is hogging the blog. This will be a big post, I have a lot of pictures. Here is the only picture I got of me in the clinic, we were too busy to really get pictures (we saw over 500 patients a day).

Here are a couple of pictures of the views. The first is on the way to a town called Capao. The second is the yard of this placed called Lothlorien (yes, named after Lord of the Rings). The people were all hippies, it was cool.

Next are some pictures of the "orphanage." It was really just some people who had a lot of kids and had taken in a lot of homeless kids. They got their water from a well, but it had dried up, so they had to walk a mile with buckets to get water. We raised money to help them dig new wells. They roasted us fresh cashews, picked straight from the tree (amazingly good), and also cut coconuts so we could drink the milk.

Lastly, here are a couple random pictures. After our last clinic day, we hiked to this awesome waterfall and swam in it a bit. After the waterfall, the river just kind of dropped into the jungle. It was really cool. Here is a video of it. There is also a picture of me by a little waterfall in a town called Lencois.

A few more

This was a little water fountain park area in the Bug's Life section.

Landon was very careful not to touch Mickey. He liked to look at the characters, but definitely wanted to keep his distance.
I will probably do one more post, sorry to hog the blog for a bit.

Disneyland trip

Here are a few pictures from our Disneyland trip last week. I will probably post more once we get a CD of pictures from Dustin's parents, we didn't take very many good pictures. The highlight of his trip was when he stole Payton's huge sucker. He would laught everytime he looked at it.
