Thanksgiving in Moab

Kelly and Brenda hosted Thanksgiving in Moab for Kevin, Kalie, Kathy and Brent. We all had a great time, lots of good food and activities.

Jacob answers he phone, with a little help from his mom

Kelly climbing a boulder. What a great place

Thanksgiving in Moab

Kathy and Jacob. He didn't want to share the chair with Grandma, so she was ignoring him hoping he wouldn't notice she was still there.

Kathy and Brent killing zombies, Wii style. Kathy is a natural.

Kevin climbing on a boulder, note the "crash pad", consisting of a sofa cushion and some quilts. We were without the real thing. Kelly hit the deck and twisted his ankle on this high tech pad. Note the crimpers Kevin is pinching, he is a climbing machine.

We kept very busy, trying to keep up with the 3 boys. including a marshmellow fight with blow guns. Pretty serious business

We spent a lot of time outdoors. Kevin and Kalie at a waterfall a couple of miles from Kelly and Brenda's house

The boys, Kelly and I at a rock formation near a geocache that Logan found (grandpa walked right by the geocache)

A walk after Thanksgiving dinner

Kristen in Elko

Kristen, Landon and Lydia spent two weeks in Elko with us while they are waiting for their new home to be finished. We had such a good time with them and these pictures are a sample of the activities.

Grandpa made a sword for Landon and Kristen made a hook for him so he was all set. We even got to play in the snow in Lamoille Canyon.

Halloween

Melanie had a lot of fun for Halloween. Here is her outfit (that is a dinosaur, in case you can't tell).

Also, she was really excited about her pumpkin. She went to a pumpkin patch, and kept saying that she needed to find a "major pumpkin." We didn't know what that meant, but she passed lots of pumpkins until she found the perfect "major" one, and so we got it.

Here is a video of her showing off the jack-0-lantern. It is long, and kind of boring at parts, but she gets pretty excited, so it is worth watching the whole thing. Also, sorry about the video quality, it was shot at night, so that is just off the light from the camera.
