One of the best parts about being a parent is when you can look down at your kid, say, "Smile! I want to take a picture," and get that look of pure, trusting love that they have for you.
Melanie had two Easter dresses, so she had two weeks of dressing up. She was a little more willing to smile once she was in her dress. You might also notice that her toenails are now a certain color. She likes them.
Lastly, Melanie is just starting to think she might be willing to use the bathroom. Yesterday was her first time on the toilet. There were only a couple of drops to show for the 20 minutes we spent there, but we were excited anyway.

What a doll. Every pretty girl deserves two Easter dresses. Good to see she decides when and on what terms she is going to smile for the camera. Can't wait to see her again.
