Friday afternoon I went with Duane Jones, Rob, and some scouts up the Rubys. We camped just below the Dome, that is it behind our camp. The lake is where we should have camped. Instead, we carried our packs to this elevation. And the last picture is going up a snow chute about 500 feet below the dome. Pitures from the top weren't too great, so I didn't post any of them.

That looks awesome. I'm sad that I never went and hiked up in the Rubies when I lived there and could have at any time. Hopefully some day we could all do it, that would be awesome. That place looks really cool.
Wow that lake looks so cool, I guess I didn't realize what was up there. We should definately all hike it someday. You are always doing the coolest outdoor things dad.
sounds like we'd all have to get into shape before attempting that hike, but it looks amazing! Way to go, Dad, quite an accomplishment!
